FiberHome Networks (FHN), "a scientist and engineer company" founded by the well-known National Optical Communication Research Institute of China - WRI, is an Asia-based topnotch and "know how" technology leader, and the biggest manufacturer of Optical Access and Network Connectivity units worldwide.  We are specialized in Optical Access, FTTx, WAN, MAN and Carrier Ethernet technologies with a list of patents and the honor to propose 3 ITU standards (X.85, X.86, X.87).  We provide carrier-class solutions of FTTx, smart optical CPE, TDMoIP, media converter, interface converter, CWDM, L2/L3 switch, xPON, EOS, router, and IPTV.  Fiberhome Networks is one that first passed the authentication by International IPV6 Forum.    

 

Product Advantages

In 2005, Fiberhome Networks developed the updated Ethernet Switch of second generation to efficiently support high bandwidth service like flow media, now its domestic market share has reached up to 10%. Combined with IPTV equipment developed by the company itself, Fiberhome Networks can provide overall system IPTV solutions for all carriers. Meanwhile, it is also the leading company of CWDM product in domestic China, The company, s Media Converter is the brand product that has the biggest sales in domestic telecommunication market, covering more than 30% market share in China, moreover, it takes the lead in MSPP implementation which is the new in domestic telecommunication field. Fiberhome Networks aim at providing more qualified solutions in metropolitan area network, access network, and important customer mutual connection for network construction around all industrial fields. 

 

Technology Advantages

So far, three telecommunication standard proposals submitted by Fiberhome Networks were approved by International Telecommunication Union-Telecommunications (ITU-T) and authenticated as universal standard, their independent serial number are ITU-T X.85, X.86 and X.87. All these core technologies and over 10 patents have been fully applied comprehensively to its new products research, which helps to develop Fiberhome Networks' competition advantage featured with differences and characteristics. Meanwhile, Fiberhome Networks have developed IP core chips with its own intellectual property that have enriched its product structure. The source code of router and switch operation system software with intellectual property have reached up to the 2,000,000 rows, establishing the steady foundation for persisting company core competition. With advanced and powerful technology force, Fiberhome Networks have taken charge of developing and manufacturing in several the State 863 Projects, such as "Ethernet Frame transmitting in SDH and WDM", "High quality Ethernet Switch and Network Interface Card Core Chip", and "Metropolitan Area Multiple Service Ring", etc.

 

Achievement

Fiberhome Networks have acquired great honor in national information industrial commendation for many times. "X-serials international standard (X.85 and X.86)" has acquired secondary award of State Scientific & Technical Progress; "Data transmission device and method between Physical layer equipment and network layer equipment", "Interface device and method of direct adaptation between Ethernet and physical channel", and "MSR technology for MAN and EOS technology for Bit" was elected as "Key Technology Invention in China Information Industry" by State Information Industry Ministry; In 2003, Fiberhome Networks EOS access network equipment and Metropolitan Area CWDM equipment are appraised as key state-class product by State Science and Technology Ministry.          

 

Fiberhome Networks sales and service system have two distribution highways covering both telecom industry distribution and channel distribution, in combination of which forms its distribution networks made up of 25 branch offices scattered all around China. So far all products have served well for telecom carriers, E-government business, education and other commercial customers such as broadcasting and television, electricity, transportation, finance, energy and communities etc. The oversea market has extended to North America, Russia, Japan, India, Thailand, Nepal, and gained comprehensive application.

X.85 (IP over SDH using LAPS)

Submitted by Fiberhome Networks and approved with independent serials by ITU-T, X.85 is the first international standard in IP field proposed by China in March, 2000, which is applied in Internet core layer, aggregation layer and access network layer. Now it is a primary standard of general Metropolitan Area Network international standard (RPR).

 

X.86 (Ethernet over SDH)

Submitted by Fiberhome Networks and approved with independent serials by ITU-T, X.86 is the first international standard for MSTP (Multiple Service Transport Platform) proposed by China in February, 2001, which is also the first international standard for guiding Ethernet and 1000M Ethernet into telecommunication transmission network. Now it has been adopted for network construction in U.S., Europe, Japan and domestic China, which is one year earlier than general frame forming procedure (GFP).

 

X.87 (Multiple Services Ring based on RPR)

X.87 was submitted by Fiberhome Networks and approved with independent serials by ITU-T in Oct.28, 2003, whose Chinese definition is Metropolitan Area Network Multiple Service Ring standard. Under prerequisite of guaranteed service, it successfully resolve issue of merging three networks (for Data, Voice and Video service) in one body and problem of running such integrated network in a low cost, simplifying transmission and switching in metropolitan area network field. It is a new generation packet MSTP (Multiple Service Transport Platform) integrating packet add/drop multiplexing, cross-connection, multiple service transporting into one entity.
